Lucas and Amanda first met at a charity scramble golf tournament, when Lucas had only ever played two rounds of golf in his life. They met up six months later on the top of a parking deck near Yankee Stadium, to tailgate the Pinstripe Bowl in 20-degree weather. Amanda may or may not have saved Lucas from freezing to death by sharing her blanket and phone number. A few weeks later, they had their first date at Cowan’s Public in Nutley, New Jersey during a Maine Beer Company tap takeover. They eventually traveled to the source for one of their first breweries trips of their relationship. Since then, they have visited Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame multiple times, including the time Lucas first said, “I love you.”

Visiting breweries, plus ballparks, wineries, states and even Italy soon after getting engaged have been some of the highlights of their time together. Lucas proposed near Lake Mohawk, making it perfectly fitting for him and Amanda to get married in Sparta, New Jersey at Rock Island Lake Club. As they start the next chapter of their relationship, Lucas and Amanda look forward to celebrating with friends and family in May 2025, spending their honeymoon in Playa Mujeres, Mexico, and finishing Amanda’s final ballpark with a trip to Colorado.
